My skills are being used across a range of sectors and organisations, voluntary, private and public, and I'm happy to talk to you about how I could help your organisation.
Core values for me are:
Starting from strengths. I believe in people and I am a people person. I’ll work from what you can do and have done. I’m a de-mystifier. Sometimes jargon and complexity are used to mask lack of understanding or muddle. I’ll unravel it with you.
Social justice
I believe that some people get a very bad deal in life because, for example: of where they were born, their income or circumstances, their ethnicity or colour, their disability, their sexual orientation. I’ll work with you to ensure an inclusive approach and to ensure that you take positive steps to overcome discrimination and disadvantage that affects your clients, your staff or volunteers, and the sector that you work in.
Development
I am a grower of people and organisations. I believe that you can always get more from something or someone if you can see where something could lead, and if you remain open to learning throughout any process. I don’t think the end of a project is an end – it’s a new beginning, taking you to a place you had not achieved previously.
Ethical behaviour
I’m honest and truthful. I hold client confidentiality. In business I will tell you if something can’t be done, or can’t be done for the money you have. I’ll agree costs and charges at the outset and I won’t change these unless we jointly review and agree any changes.
